Esposito Photography | Mesquite Dunes, Death Valley

Mesquite Dunes, Death Valley

December 09, 2017  •  1 Comment

Death Valley never came to mind when thinking about landscape photography. We were pleasantly surprised to find some of the most beautiful landscape locations in the hottest place on earth. The Mesquite Dunes was among our favorite locations. We visited there 3 times to catch different light. The challenge was finding compositions without a messy barrage of tourist's footprints. Fortunately for us, the night before our third visit to the dunes, we experienced a sand storm that wiped clean the footprints in the sand. Most of our photos were taken on that third day.

Nice shots.... I like your minimalistic approach on a couple of them.
I really like the shot of the sun rising just about the dunes to get the
sunburst effect.
I like how you captured the moon over the dunes, and the silhouette
of the tree at sunset.
